The Electraeon Fast Throttle Tube for Ducati motorcycles is a 1/4 turn style quick action racing throttle control that opens the throttle body butterflies with a reduced rotation of the hand grip compared to stock. Reducing the amount of hand grip rotation improves ergonomics by allowing the rider to fully open the throttle with less wrist stress. The reduction of wrist angle at the handlebar also aids the rider in maintaining proper posture on the motorcycle improving control and drive off the apex when cornering.
Six models are offered to suit rider preference in grips and throttle response. The Max-Turn, for the fastest throttle opening possible with a linear throttle opening rate. The Medium-Turn, for faster than stock throttle opening with a linear throttle opening rate. And the Min-Max, a non-linear version with a slower than stock opening rate for greater control of on/off throttle response and reduced overall rotation of the grip to achieve full throttle opening.
All models are available with an option to use stock Ducati and other OEM style grips or non-OEM style grips. Models for use with OEM style grips have notches in the grip ring and a tail ring for proper fitment of stock Ducati and similar aftermarket grips. Non-OEM styles do not have notches or a tail ring for easy installation of aftermarket grips.
This series of the Fast Throttle Tube is designed specifically for Ducati motorcycles. OEM throttle controls are different for each motorcycle manufacturer. What works on one brand will not work well on others and it is impossible for one design to work well on all brands. By designing specifically for Ducati motorcycles we have eliminated poor performance issues common to the one size fits all throttle controllers.
Frictionless Design and Solid Construction:
Fast Throttle Tubes are CNC machined from a solid piece of Delrin for high strength, light weight, and durability. The all Delrin construction provides friction free operation at all contact points resulting in smooth operation and accurate throttle positioning. The one piece design also eliminates the possibility of loose parts and is maintenance free.
Provides the fastest throttle opening possible with a linear throttle opening rate. Fully opens the throttle butterflies with 70% rotation of the hand grip compared to stock. The Max-Turn is recommended for all high performance street, and track bikes.
Installation requires a modification on the inside of stock throttle housing and the housing side of the throttle cable ends. As an option you may purchase a pre-modified throttle housing and return your stock housing after installation is completed.
Non-linear versions feature a unique Dual Cam system that properly controls both the opening and closing throttle cables. Controlling both cable rates provides smooth operation of the push/pull cable system.
The Min-Max has a slower than stock opening rate at the beginning of rotation and a faster than stock opening rate after 25% rotation of the hand grip. 749 and 999 models have a reduced opening rate at the beginning of rotation with an overall rotation of the hand grip to full throttle opening approximately the same as the stock throttle tube. All other models fully open the throttle butterflies with 90% rotation of the hand grip compared to stock. The Min-Max offers the best of both worlds, smooth control of on/off throttle response and reduced grip rotation to full throttle opening. Recommended for high performance street, and track bikes when on/off throttle response is critical. Housing and cable modification are required for this version.
A linear version that fully opens the throttle butterflies with 90% rotation of the hand grip compared to stock. The Medium-Turn is recommended for riders who are generally satisfied with the stock throttle control but would like to reach full throttle acceleration without extreme wrist angle. No modifications are required for installation, simply replace the stock part and adjust the cables.
